Legislative Tour Day Three by bkbinthecity

Legislative Tour Day Three

It is customary to hang a picture of the reigning monarch in the Legislature Chamber. However before we enter lets stop and take a look at a protrait that hangs outside of the chamber. When the building opened in 1912 King George V was the reigning monarch. So they have kept his portrait and that of his wife Queen Mary.
These portraits have a very special feature to them. The artist has a way of making the eyes follow you as you pass by the portrait. As well the knees appear to change position
Now let us make our way into the chambers
Oh my, the eyes follow you?!! Okay let's continue the tour (while they keep an eye on us.)
