So last week I posted a picture from the old warehouse district here in downtown Edmonton and so many of you commented how much you liked the old sign of the side of the building. I decided to do another one of my little series. This one is called Signs of the Times.
Today's picture has some special meaning to me. This building is the Ross Brothers Building on the Boardwalk. At the top is the letter "A" At one time in the 1950's and 60's this was home to the Ashdown Hardware Company. The personal connection to this for me is this is where my Dad first worked when he moved to Edmonton.
I trust you all had a good Easter weekend and have a wonderful week.
Now it is time for me to get caught up with my comments on your pictures and respond to all of the wonderful comments you have made on my pics over the last couple of days
What a gorgeous piece of architecture ...and a wonderful connection with your Dad having worked there. Very memorable for you! This must be very special for you.
It's a beautiful old building bkb, looks to be built in brick, hope the council have it listed so it can't be knocked down or altered in any way.

Nice story. I'm glad the building is being used, one hates to see these fabulous old buildings fade out of existence. However, I miss the old hardware stores.
