I was glad when they said unto me let us go unto the House of the Lord
All Creatures of our God and King, lift up your voice and with us sing Alleluia Alleluia.
-Francis of Assisi
I could not help but think of these words when I came across this guy yesterday. He was standing on the road into the parking lot at our church. I first saw him on the way out in the morning and when we returned in the evening he was still there.
So I stopped to take his picture and as I did he turned and started to wander down the road into the actual parking lot. Hmmm I wonder if he thought it would be okay for him to join us.
Geese are so funny right now. I finding wondering all over the roads so casually like they don't have a care in the world. They really amuse my kids when you come up to them on the road and they just slowing walk away.
All God's creatures have a place in the choir, some sing low, some sing higher, some sing out loud on the telephone wire and some just clap their hands, or paws, or anything they got now! Cute little song we sang when the boys were young which I thought of (after I sang the hymns you mentioned in my head!). He does look like he's ready to join your service doesn't he? Good shot!
@pamfromcalgary Last year we had a couple of geese with the one laying eggs. This may be the mate of the same one from last year as someone said they found a nest on the property
