So I am glad it was nice on Sunday when we did our walking tour because it has been raining since. We saw a lot of nice houses on our walk. This particular one stood out for me. This is the Gauthier House. Francois-Xavier Gauthier came from Quebec. He travelled in a covered wagon to join his family in St Albert before moving to Morinville. He started a brick yard in 1919. He lived he with his family for many years before selling the home to another family who still own it today
A very nice house and interesting history! My grandfather started a brick and tile yard in Invercargill, NZ in the 1890s and it was his house that I painted and posted a picture of earlier! Much smaller than this one!
Love the house, it would be so nice to sit out on the porch and watch nature and just relax. Interesting history. I love how you give history or a story on the shots you post.
