So with as busy as I have been at work lately and with the rain I figured that this might be the only chance I get to take a picture. I took this while waiting for the light to change. This was taken just before Chinatown. Later today the rain really started to come down along with some hail and to top things off Enviroment Canada issued a Tornado warning for Edmonton. No actually tornado but a huge funnel cloud was spotted in the southeast part of the city in the late afternoon
Understand only catching a photo while at a signal or stop sign. Think we've all done it! And ouch, we've seen these funnel clouds in Alberta, more than once!! Hey, it's rain -- not snow! Unfortunately, it does look somewhat like at "yuck" day outside!!
I have a friend that lives there also and she was just telling that the funnel cloud was just a 1/2 hr away from her. The photos she posted was incredible. Glad nothing too severe happened.
We've had so much rain here in the last week, we've taken the left over wood from the flooring and started building an ark out back. Well, not really but it sounded good! This shot sure says "rainy wet dreary day" which is what we had here as well. Funnel clouds can be amazing and scary to see. Glad it was just a cloud.
