The Edmonton Flying Club has been around since 1927 when it was founded by World War I flying ace Wilfred "Wop" May. He was also the founder of Blatchford Field which became Edmonton's Municipal Airport. This is just down the road from the Aviation Museum. It was interesting to stand here for a few minutes and watch some of the members getting their planes ready for take off
were you outside the field or inside? that's one good shot yet again, brian. i'd probably be shooting some commercial planes at the island airport here one of these days.
