It was on this day in 1986 that The Works Art Festival had its beginning here in Edmonton. The Works can best be described as an alternative style art festival. Most of what you see is definitely thinking outside of the box so to speak.
I always look forward to this festival each year.
So this is another picture I took while walking around City Hall yesterday. The huge red frame is a part of one of the main entrances to Churchill Square. You can see City Hall in the background, the building with the pyramid, and the tents are part of the Children's Pavilion at the festival. I am hoping to go down there this evening and check out what is going on this year
