Today was Canada Day which is our Nations Birthday. Today Canada turned 146 years old. I woke up feeling a little under the weather. So after resting for the morning we had some lunch and then decided to head out for a nice walk around Beaumaris Lake. Located in the Beaumaris neighborhood it is a wonderful spot for a walk. It took us close to two hours to make our way around the entire lake. There are several spots to rest along the way and we saw several different types of birds. I will be posting some of those this week. Just a side note, Beaumaris is named after Beaumaris Castle in Wales.
As you can see in this shot some house across the lake. There are homes all around the lake. It really is a beautiful spot. The city of Edmonton has made several of these lakes in different areas around the city
Stunning capture Brian - congratulations on your Canada Day.
An item of note is that in Australian usage "being under the weather" is due only to an overindulgence in strong drink. I'm sure that wasn't so in your case. 8-)
Glad you had a fun Canada Day. This is a beautiful shot and looks like a wonderful place to walk and relax. We are still thinking of all the Calgarians and those in High River, etc. in the aftermath of the flooding. My cousins home in Calgary got some of it, and they have been staying with family in Three Hills till today.
lovely shot- interesting to read about Beaumaris Lake as Beaumaris is in Ynys Mon/ Anglesey and views of Beaumaris and its castle have featured in my project.
