So I am using a filler from the other morning when I was on my way to work. I stopped and took a picture of this bridge. It was built in 1911-12 and was originally called the East End Bridge as it connected the East Side of Edmonton to Downtown. When it was built it was a railroad bridge used to haul coal from one of several mines located in the river valley to the downtown section which at the time was the main part of the city. Today it is named the Dawson Bridge which was named after H S Dawson who arrived in Edmonton in 1892 and eventually opened the Dawson Coal Mine.
I am now on a ten day vacation. We are not sure what are plans are exactly but I am sure I will be taking a lot of pictures no matter what we do.
In the mean time enjoy your weekend everyone and watch for what I hope will be some good vacation pictures
