Fort Edmonton in Black and White--Toronto Street Car

The Edmonton Radial Railway Company, this is the same group that operates the High Level Bridge Street Car, operates the street cars in Fort Edmonton Park.
I took this shot from the steam engine. This is a 1951 Toronto Transit Commission Street Car. When it was put out of service in Toronto The folks here in Edmonton thought it would be a nice addition to their collection.
Later in the day we did catch a ride on it and I had a chance to chat with the driver.
You may also notice the fellow wearing a kilt. On the weekend we were there it was the annual Celtic Gathering at Fort Edmonton
Nice composition and great in B&W...we see men here in kilts all the time..everyday wear...:)!

Rode on many streetcars of that vintage in Toronto when growing up there. And to be there during Celtic weekend would have been awesome!

Very cool. With the man in the kilt, it looks like a snapshot from the past--except for the shorts his companion is wearing!
