Well after posting a collage of the steam engine from Fort Edmonton Park it seems that the majority wanted to see the enlarged version of this particular shot. So here it is. This particular train is representing what the train would have looked like that ran through Edmonton. The name on the engine is the Edmonton Yukon and Pacific. It was said to be the shortest railroad with the longest name. The plan was to have it start out in Edmonton and eventually run north up to the Yukon Territory and end up at the Pacific Ocean. Things never quite worked out as it never made its way out of Edmonton. It also has a Canadian Pacific Railroad passenger car as well
@bkbinthecity You are welcome, Brian. One of the best train shots I have seen. Amazing detail and I love the closeness. Makes me realize I do not have to aim for the entire train when I see one. This was also taken in such a beautiful area that it makes for such a perfect photo.
