Well at least that is how it feels after all of the snow we got on the weekend. Took this shot this evening. I have heard varying reports on the total amount between 25-30 cm ( 10-12 inches). Whatever it was it is a whole lot of the white stuff. Did not go into work today as I was in the hospital early this morning. My head cold had made its way into my chest. The nurse ran a couple of tests one of which was a breathing test with some negative results. While waiting for the doctor Melody prayed for me and when the doctor came in and did the test again the results were very positive. So I went home rested up and will back to work tomorrow. Feeling the best I have in about a week
holy crap! that's a whole lotta snow, my good friend! send that to vancouver. :-) or alaska, or the north pole. well, good to know you're feeling better.
That is a huge amount of snow & I would sure hate to drive my car in it!
(Thank Heaven, you are safe and your health is improving.) Your photo really captures how I feel in a snow storm--blurry and off-balance!
Ah honey you are going through it a bit at the moment aren't you? My advise would be to stay off work for the rest of the week and get yourself properly right and feeling better
That is one lot of snow you have going there
Wow, so sorry to hear you had to go in the hospital but relieved all is positive. Now, get some rest and stay well! Lovely photo and I am definitely faving this. I love how you caught the wispy trees, bits of light and the soft glow....this is one awesome shot!
Love the feeling of this shot, makes one want to be in out of the cold, looking at this through a window. Also makes one feel so sad for those humans and nonhumans who can't get in out of the snow and cold. Hope you are feeling better and that the next test is also positive--take care of yourself!
A beautiful picture of the snow at night illuminated by the streetlights. a very different picture from what mine would've looked like. we had a severe storm the night of the 17th lasting well into the next day. winds up to 90 km with lots of thundershowers.. the night was dark, no street lights. pwer was out from 10 pm all night until early morning and than went out again around 10 in the morning. brrr was it ever cold.
The picture is nice and I'm glad the snow is in Edmonton and not here. I hope you are feeling better by now- it's never fun being sick, but even less fun in the cold weather.
@olivetreeann Well Ann I will be going back to work for the first day on Friday the 22 and then I will have the weekend off so hopefully by next week I will be back to my normal self
10-12 inches?! That's one entire foot of snow, I can't believe it! I think it has snowed close to five times here already, but never more than one or two inches, and it's stuck to the ground only once or twice or so. But I still can't believe that it's snowed so much already. I'm glad to hear that they were keeping their eye on you, and taking good care of you in the hospital for awhile. Blessings to you and Melody--stay warm and dry in this cold weather, and keep hydrated! Glad to hear that you are on the mend, and hoping you continue to feel better...
