So I had told Melody that I had behaved myself on our way to Cranbrook because I made very few stops to take pictures. I made up for that on the way home and took the scenic route home. Yes it did add a few extra hours to our trip but I think it was worth it.
One of our stops was here at Takakkaw Falls in Yoho National Park. Melody took this shot from the car on the drive up to the falls. I have always loved these falls since seeing them for the very first time when I was quite young. To me one of the great features is how the water is just bursting right out of the side of the mountain
This is so amazing to me! I would love to see a scene like this. Living in the desert, I see few waterfalls, and none of the ones I do see could be considered magnificent.
Super shot. Very majestic! When we go on long drives and I take over the driving, it's very difficult for me to continue along without stopping; my fingers twitch on the steering wheel ;-) as I pass beautiful sights. Much better to be a passenger with my camera ready!
Love the composition, the waterfall, and the soft tones in the rock. I guess this must be an underground stream before it bursts forth into the light. Well captured Melody, fav!
