1905 Street

In 1905, one year after being incorporated as a city, the citizens were wanting a change. So on this day in 1905 a petition from the majority of the 9000 people living in Edmonton was presented to city council demanding cement sidewalks replace the wooden planks walkways that graced Jasper Avenue.
