Well it is Sunday night and we are back from our weekend campout.
When we arrived at the sight there were already some tents set up. Melody found herself a chair and made herself comfortable.
You need to understand that camping is not one of her favorite activities so getting her out this weekend was a huge accomplishment . It rained off and on all weekend and they did have some portable trailers if you wanted to sleep indoors which we did do along with a few others
However we did have a lot of fun because of the people we were with.
The name Binky by the way is a nickname of hers if you follow us on FB you would be familiar with
Camping isn't my thing either ...I tried it in our back yard with my sons one time and didn't make it half the night before I was back indoors. Melody is doing wonderful to be able to have such a big smile on her face -- and it does look like a beautiful setting!
I love camping but I always hate the orepRations to get there. Once I'm there it is so relaxing but just the first step, often keeps me from saying yes. I'm glad you got to go.
There're so many different meaning for binky. so I take it as a "Happy face", always smiling. Melody was a great trouper for going along on the camping trip.
Long live the Queen! Bravo to Melody for camping! Jeff was an avid camper before we married. But he only brought a back pack most of the time and slept out under the stars. And while I did go camping in high school and college with my friends, I never had a great experience- something always happened to me! So camping did not carry over into our married years!
