The Garneau Theatre in Edmonton opened in 1940 and seventy five years later it is still showing movies
It is one of two single screen theatres left operating in Edmonton
We had been out for supper last night and when we left I saw the sign all lit up so I decided to walk over and take a picture of it.
Have a great week everyone
Great lights and colours. There's a cinema like that in Melbourne too. It got sold last year, but the new owner is continuing to run it as a cinema, rather than turning it into apartments as was threatened at one time.
Love seeing these theaters still in use! Here in Cleveland we have the second largest Theater district outside of New York city. Many are older and restored!!
Thanks for the fav
