Deconstruction

I always find it sad when a part of history is torn down. This is the Buena Vista Building which has stood on this corner for years but now is closed and will eventually be torn down to make room for a high rise condo
Great shot. I agree, it is sad when a part of history is torn down. We see that here, too.

It's happening all around me, but with beautiful old farm houses making room for condos - I can hardly stand to drive by anymore. I wish I'd known to capture them before they were gone.

Great capture, title...unless a building is on the historical list it's not safe from "Deconstruction"

Agree it is always sad when old buildings are taken down to make way for new ones. Good shot.

It is sad and it looks like this is merely due to them getting a good price for the property as the building does not look to be in bad shape.

Sad to see them go, on the up side it will employ workers and hopefully create a great replacement.

I find it sad too when old iconic buildings are torn down but sometimes it is cheaper to tear down and rebuild than renovate

March 21st, 2016
We are losing a lot of our older buildings to make room for condos, too. I hate it.

@seattlite Gloria here we have a couple of different historical lists and a building needs to be on the "A" list in order to be protected
