Stuck In Traffic

So while sitting in traffic I took this photo of the construction of a new bridge being built in Edmonton. The Walterdale bridge which is over 100 years old is being replaced rather than repaired. I need to go back on foot and get some pictures if the old one and a few better shots of the new one being built
It looks so chaotic! Hopefully the new bridge will be built we'll & completed soon.

Lots of activity, it will be interesting to see the contrast btwn old and new bridge.

Chaos reigns, do hope the new bridge does the trick......

Traffic delays are always frustrating.
March 26th, 2016
Looks like it will be a massive job.
March 26th, 2016
I don't have these traffic jams here in rural Vermont...but I remember them well...glad to share the memory and leave it at that:)
March 26th, 2016
Thats frustrating!
March 26th, 2016
We've had similar projects, and even though they are a traffic nightmare for a long time, they are worth it well into the future.
March 26th, 2016
Oh dear how frustrating to be stuck. Still will be worth it when the new bridge gets open. Hope you were too delayed.
March 26th, 2016
They did the same thing in Portland!
March 26th, 2016
Oh boy, that doesn't look like fun. I hope you weren't stuck for too long. Great shot.
March 26th, 2016
One thing I hate is being stuck in traffic which happens more often than not. Great capture.
March 26th, 2016
Looks like an interesting new bridge construction project! I'm sure more than a bit frustrating for drivers. Great shot!

A major piece of engineering - well worth a visit to record the new and old bridges.

Well at least it gave you your photo for the day.
March 26th, 2016
And, like every dedicated 365er, you took advantage of the traffic jam and got a capture - well done!
March 26th, 2016
Familiar scene...great shot of the gridlock
March 26th, 2016
Good shot of the construction.
March 26th, 2016
Frustrating isn't it, good capture of the non-movement.
March 26th, 2016
I like the contrast of the construction with cars.
March 26th, 2016
Well done for getting a positive outcome from your stuck-in-the-traffic situation!

You caught a great conglomeration of machinery here--sorry to hear about an old bridge going, but perhaps it's unsafe?
March 28th, 2016
I like how the ‘traffic jumble’ sort of presents itself in the shot… Yeah, I’m curious too to see the new bridge...
