So here is my weekly YEG photo. This weeks subject is The Garneau Theatre. The top is from the children's colouring book and the bottom is a photo of the real thing.
Built in 1940 it remains one of two single screen theatres in Edmonton.
Next weeks subject the Old Strathcona Farmer's Market
I'm guessing YEG = Edmonton? Airport code, I believe. I like the two versions of what is surely a classic old theatre. It's sad to see them disappear in favor of the 15 seat crackerbox in which you can hear four movies all at once. Is the sketch something that you've had for some time?
