Hey l am over here

Today we went out Gold Bar Park to support my sister, brother-in-law and niece who ran in a 5K race raising money for a missions trip next month to Uganda.
This is the second trip the three of them will be taking to Uganda.
My niece came in second place. I was taking their picture at the same time Melody was. For some reason the picture l took did not save so it was a good thing Melody got this picture even though they were looking at me at the time.
The church that is heading up the trip has been working with a village since 2011. This is the last trip to this village because the village is now a self sufficient village. They have come a long way over the past number of years
Oh, wow. Good for them.

How wonderful, it does not happen often here that villages become self sufficient.

Beautiful shot and story. We have many missionaries in Africa, South America and Asia and there are fund raising activities very often. The Maltese are very generous and donate thousands and thousands of euros in aid of the missions. As for me, I feel so much for the work missionaries do abroad and am always ready to help from the little I can.

So frustrating when there is more than one photographer and you get ignored! LOL!

What a wonderful feeling it must be to have contributed to helping this village become self-sufficient!

That is a great story of how missions should work! Your sister and her family must feel so good to have seen the difference they've made- and now they will see it happen again with the next village.
