Rutherford House by bkbinthecity

Rutherford House

The Rutherford House is located on the campus of the University of Alberta. It was built by Alberta's first Premier. Alexander C. Rutherford was instrumental in establishing the University.
I have taken pictures of the house in autumn, winter and now summer.
Lovely! You can tell you’ve had plenty of rain, everything is so green.

Love the photo. Another famous Rutherford! New Zealand's Ernest Rutherford, known as the father of nuclear physics who also had a Canadian connection eventually becoming the Chair of Physics at McGill University.

A lovely flower-filled garden in front. The house has some interesting architectural features. I like the rounded, jutted out section on the left site of the elegant pillared entrance.
