Carly was a teenage student I instructed to raise a puppy for Guiding Eyes for the Blind. Just before she got her puppy, she had a fatal fall in a ravine in another park. Our puppy raisers got together to have these stone benches made as a memorial but I was out of town for the dedication. Today’s quest was to find them. Her family went on to raise a couple puppies and we are so grateful for their commitment.
Three good things:
1. The park where these are located has beautiful walking paths.
2. Well behaved dogs are allowed off leash.
3. Someday maybe Watson can go.
What a horribly tragic accident. I know her family and friends were absolutely stunned and heartbroken. Your puppy group did a beautiful thing by having these gorgeous memorial benches made. And her family did a beautiful thing by raising two pups. All so very touching.
