Annie the Rat Terrier is visiting overnight, she is very comfy here as she lived here for many years. She told the three giant Labradors (my Watson and two visiting Guiding Eyes dogs) not to bother her as she is the rightful Princess here. Many years ago, my daughter had rescued and adopted her. I had paid for her multiple surgeries (both ear canals removed for chronic infections…she died on the table from a malfunctioning ventilator, they brought her back, both knees repaired, a mastectomy…) and she came to live with me after the knee surgeries to recover without stairs….and ended up staying for a few years as my daughter went on to have human family. Then Labrador Watson came on the scene as a Guiding Eyes for the Blind puppy who needed a home quickly. So Annie stayed at my neighbors who had recently lost both of their Jack Russells while I tried to keep Watson up to snuff in the puppy program. Well, Watson had other plans (anything other that being a service dog) and I adopted him after he was released from the program. My neighbors were thrilled to have Annie stay with them…and so it was a win-win. I see her almost every day and we all walk together. When a dog sitter is needed, I am available! Three good things:
1. Dog people
2. Who are also neighbors
3. Companionable doggos
