At the Portland (Oregon) Japanese Garden. Today we walked seven miles! It was wonderful strolling through the farmer’s market, Washington Park, the Japanese Gardens and the Rose Gardens, and Powell’s Books (I felt like a kid in a candy store!) Lunch at Higgins Piggins at the Oregon Historical Society, snacks at Papa Haydn’s (an $11 bourbon ball), gonna sit and read and gather strength to go out for dinner!
Three good things:
1. Vacation!
2. The rain showers stopped before we really headed out for the day
3. A native Oregonian friend who guided us around the city, made it so much easier
