10-21-21 Peebles Island Falls

A fifteen foot drop in the Mohawk River near where it runs into the Hudson River. This is as close as I dared get in the kayak, there is some wicked turbulence. Three good things:
1. Good exercise paddling up against this current
2. Warm sunshine and cool breezes
3. A quick ride downstream

@happypat Please don’t think I go OVER these things! I only approach from downstream! Anything other than flat water does not call to me at all!

@bkp Still a bit too near for me though plus I’m not a fan of water….I don’t mind lolling in the hot pools in NZ but that’s all! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
