In the UK there are these plaques on houses up and down the country with historical relevance, and normally on beautiful grand houses, stately homes, sometimes those buildings are turned into hotels too.
I stopped today to photograph this one in Essex on my way to work as it made me laugh. It reads "William Shakespeare 1564-1616 Passed wind on this site while staying the night in Sept 1608"
The woman who lived in this house asked me what I was up to with my camera, and then explained that of course, its a hoax, and the previous owners had put it up. I asked her if her house had ever been a hotel, and she said no, tho she gets loads of people stopping by with suitcases already unloaded from their cars...
I enjoyed today's photo a lot and I promise its not April fools!
