No prizes guessing what I've been doing the last 3 days... ;-) Finally tackled the lime green satin walls in the kitchen. Yep, I did really write lime green! Eddies ex wanted the kitchen with a multicoloured mosaic on the wall around the blue bench, the rest painted lime green, and then blue floor, yellow cupboards and appliances. Its a big job to try and tone it down to help sell the house! Now the house and I stink of satin paint. If anyone wants to lend a hand...... ;-)
oh - and lesson to myself. Take off paint from hands with thinners before picking up camera's! ooops.
No matter what you photograph, especially if it has white in it, you always manage to make it look classy!! The light is always so good and I love the drips down the side of the can.....hope you got a sheet down! lol As @rich57 says, I'd love to but..............gardening, shopping, drinking, watching tv, washing my hair, sleeping, birdwatching.......
I know the feeling about having paint everywhere, years of painting means it's on every door handle and tap in the house. Great clarity and crop on this.
You do close-ups so well. The details are wonderful. You don't want me helping, I have to wear disposable gloves or my hands would be covered in paint.
I like painting, but that sounds like quite a bit of work to cover. Certainly not my first choice of colors, but to each his own I guess? Good luck getting it all done!
Wow! His ex sounds like she had an unusual idea of what looks good on walls. I would love to help, but as it was put above it would be quite a commute. I like your choice of paint instead of hers so much calmer. :D
@timandelke yeah, a bit of a long way ;-) Cheers for the giggle! @wormentude Not my cuppa either, thats for sure! Best of luck with that essay.... I think I'd rather paint! Poor you.
Nice shot. I'll paint the whole thing for you if you like, I love painting. You pay my airfare and put me up. Deal? Probalby not;cheaper I"m sure to hire a local. Good luck with the project.
I love the whites of this picture.
I believe that after the three days you can relax and be content. ( I hate the smell of tinner)I guess It is not a great fun to paint three days and to have some paint on your camera.
Good picture! Painting going on here too, I did try this very kind of picture yesterday.. but I just couldn't get it right so left it until another day.
Thanks for the complement Cherrill.. this is natural lighting, just plonked it by the window and slightly over-exposed.
Unfortunately I'm washing my hair this weekend.
