The Humber Bridge connects Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, and is the fifth largest single-span suspension bridge in the world - not bad for a little island :-)
I wanted to take a nice pic of it, but failed somewhat. I decided to camp up on the wrong side - only wrong because of marshy land and the tripod moved every time I pressed the shutter - I forgot the trigger release. Still, lovely afternoon trip, fancied seeing the bridge in person and we walked almost half way along the bridge, too high up for our liking tho!!
Seems to have come out alright from where I'm looking - great capture with the lights and the reflections - glad you nor your tripod sunk into the bog permanently ...
Turned out well despite your problems. I like the deep, rich blue in the shot. When I'm in situations like that I put my camera on a 2 second timer, hit the button and take my hands away.
@shantwin Thankyou! Aaron ( @azza_l ) said something similar too - I just never gave it a thought, doh! I've not used tripods for years and just plain forgot the obvious!!
Magic blue and reflections.
