Cat, after the other night, has been hanging around the house. We tried to ignore it, but it just sat outside for all hours of the day and was getting desperate. So today we took it to the vet, hoping it had been chipped as its such an expensive pedigree. It had, horay! Turns out its name is Leo, and a woman in Milton Keynes had given it to friends in Leeds, who them promptly lost him when they moved. She now wants the cat back, but didnt say thanks for looking out for him - just barked orders at us down the phone. Even had the cheek to ask us to make a 300 mile round trip to Milton Keynes to drop him off! Silly cow. The cats going to stay indoors with us tonight, and she will pick it up tomorrow.
I am pleased we looked out for the cat, as I hate to see any animal in trouble, but again, the reason why I prefer animals to humans is proven.......!
Tidying like mad, we're doing an American syle 'open house' tomorrow to try and sell the house. We've had one viewer in 13 weeks.
..jesus what aset of complete puddings - they don't deserve him. i wish you could have him.
very good look with yer viewing - beware muddy feet .
cool cat portrait.
@sleepdozer57 Cheers, need all the luck in the world! I should've asked you and Rich to turn up too, and pretend to be interested so other people buy!! Grins
The nerve! I had a similar experience once - even went so far as to adopt someone's cat, have him neutered, only to have her call the police and said that I'd stolen her cat! When I explained what happened, the cops just nodded and said that she was known to them (as a nutcase, I'm sure) then they took the cat to her. I learned an important lesson that day - don't accept someone's word - get it in writing! Good luck with the open house!
what a great shot - not a great cat lover myself but wouldn't ever see one in trouble! I had a similar ecpserience with someone's dog once - she accused me of dognapping it - as it was 3 miles from it's home...poor doggie - it was probably running away from her! Up in Leeds on eve of 17th and will probably meet with Zipp and Rich if you're about...good luck with the house viewing
@blightygal not sure - Rich said he would try and knock off early - I'm arriving on a transatlantic flight in the morning and taking a lazy train North in the afternoon - will let all know my plans for definite next week!
@jennarichards She did come, and wasnt rude, but a very strange cat-lady, lol. She told us that she gave it away because he didnt get on with her other cats, but then took him back anyway. Was a bit upset, as she then said that all her cats are only allowed in the garden (its completely netted over) and I can help but think thats cruel, esp as he's had a taste for freedom.. Just wrote to her and asked her to give us first refusal if he doesnt get on with the cats again, I really missed him when he'd gone, gorgeous cat!
@blightygal That's kind of sad. Hopefully she will get in touch with you and you can keep him. He's a handsome thing and Bengals(in the US anyway) are a very expensive cat.
Aww...netted garden , lamo ! Should of kept him blighty. Thanks for the comments ...I'm all good i suppose, just gotta get on with these things ain't ya
@azza_l Yeah, I guess so. Doesnt stop it being shit for a while tho... Was this the lady you helped decorate months ago?
I recommend a few beers ;-) I used to drink a bottle of champers whenever it ended for me, worked wonders!!
