Ahh... cat insurance. Wonderful thing in hindsight. Last month this little thing had a cut/scratch that got infected and had to have an operation to drain it. Then 10 days later he got a UTI. Knocked him for six and he ended up in kitty hospital for 2 days on an IV drip. £700. £700!! I should've trained as a vet! At least we know that Leo did his bengal thing of vocally protesting - apparently he spent the whole time howling, 24 hours a day, and drove the vets and nurses crazy. Good boy.
sorry to hear about the little guys suffering. I love your last sentence - if he had to suffer (along with your wallet!) so should the staff at the animal hospital.

Yeah - good boy indeed - make sure they don't keep him longer than necessary! I have ours insured but Rafiki is on an excess of £100 so I was getting very frustrated by multiple 'eatings of pampas grass' costing £110 each - I was actually quite pleased when she managed to rack up a £260 bill and it was worth claiming!

Oh poor baby - hope he's all better!

Oh yes, I feel your pain. I paid Petplan £24 a month for about 7 years for our dog. Stopped paying because being a mongrel she never had anything wrong with her. Since then I have had a £1300 bill and a month ago a £600 one. Good job we love 'em!
