There are many mountain ranges doted throughout the city of Phoenix. Almost every neighborhood has its own 'local' mountain. This is a view of a neighborhood known as 'Ahwatukee' (aw-wa-too-kee) I don't live specifically in this neighborhood, my house is somewhere in the flat area off to the left.
How interesting, not at all my idea of an American city. Could be central Spain, with the terracotta colours. Tag it city-mytown and it will be entered into the current Cities competition.
I have a very romantic view of towns/cities named in the song Route 66 and like Tim would have pictured Phoenix differently, even though I have no basis for my image. Great shot you must have been on one of the mountains when taking it.
