I wish that this beautiful flower had a better name because it doesn't deserve the 'weed' designation. I love how intricate this flower is. It's called 'fireweed' because this happy plant can colonize disturbed sites, even following an old oil spill, and it is often used to reestablish vegetation. And it looks pretty in any garden.
