Chichen Itza, 2007

Well, June is already a bust for me. I was supposed to be leaving for Ireland in four days but that ain't happening. So, for this month, I'm going to go through all my old trip pictures and reminisce about the trips I've taken in the past.

This is a view of the Mayan pyramid at Chichen Itza in Mexico. I have been to this archaeological site twice now. I first went in high school with my Spanish class in 1990. Back then, tourists were allowed to climb the pyramid but people have been banned from doing so since 2006 to save the pyramid from deteriorating.

I took this photo with the first digital camera I ever owned (canon powershot). I have been a canon girl ever since

Side note...I was thinking about running around Phoenix and taking local pictures for the month of June, but with all the protesting and violence going around I've decided to just stay home instead. https://www.abc15.com/news/region-phoenix-metro/central-phoenix/video-peaceful-protest-turns-violent-buildings-cars-damaged-in-phoenix
Guess there's a lot of us doing that right now. June looked to be a busy month for 365'ers - hopefully next year. This must have been a neat trip.

Amazing architecture. Look forward to your previous holiday photos. I think it will be a while before any of us are going on holiday again.
