Common Black Hawk. I admittedly get excited when I see birds of prey. These hawks live in the warmer sections of the americas and they typically live by water. Arizona used to have a lot of riparian habitat but so much has been damned up that there is not a lot of places left for this bird to survive. Don't let me even get started....
