Early Morning Parthenon

Hubby and I raced up the hill as soon as the Acropolis opened so we could score photos of the Parthenon with not a single tourist milling about. It was the most peaceful minute of the entire day.

I'm not sure they will ever finish building it, that crane has been there for as long as I can remember.

@bob65 so true! I can't recall seeing any recent images without that crane there...i doubt the thing even moves.

Nice shot. Still building it I see. They were restoring it when we were there in 1986.
We lived in Cyprus for 3 years and they were still building Apollo's Temple there. ha ha.
