My first picture with my new camera. I treated myself to a new Canon 7D Mark II. I've been sitting with the manual and watching videos for the greater part of the evening. This camera is so very unlike anything I have experienced with the amount of control one has with the focusing points. I love photography :)
@isaactrippet The reason why I had to stick with a canon crop lens is that between my husband and I we have just about one type of every lens you could want. My father in law uses canon's too and we get a lot of his hand me downs and then we buy other lenses, too, My fav is the MACRO LENS EF 100mm f/2.8 USM. I just bought the pancake lens Canon EFS 24mm f/2.8 STM Lens and will play with it this weekend.
@blueberry1222 Nice, those are some fun lenses! I like pancake lenses quite a lot, I bought a 40mm 2.8 a while back and it's super sharp. Despite going full frame, I had to keep a crop body because there are some really cool lenses exclusively for crop sensors, my favorite being the Rokinon 16mm f2. I've been hoping for a Canon 135mm f2 L, it's one of the greatest lenses ever.
@isaactrippet I just looked up that Canon lens you mentioned, and at a price tag of $1,000 I won't be getting that anytime soon! If you run across a sale on it, definitely keep me in the loop on that!
