Snow Bird by bluemoon

Snow Bird

The Dark-eyed Junco commonly called snowbird, because of its sudden appearance around winter bird feeding stations, is a member of the sparrow family

"I heard a bird sing
In the dark of December
A magical thing
And sweet to remember.

'We are nearer to Spring
Than we were in September,'
I heard a bird sing
In the dark of December."
- Oliver Herford

Another lovely shot, Paula. I've never heard of a Junco.

Great capture, Paula. I love the little juncos but I must say when they show up too early it's not a good sign.
