I have no idea what this creepy bug is on my Poinsettia plant but he saved me from my blue disaster project tonight! I was failing miserably on a blue picture for the theme when my husband spotted this space bug....my son said it was a stink bug but I googled it and that's not what it is. The closet thing I could come up with was a Western Conifer Seed Bug which makes sense... maybe he came in with some of the Christmas Greenery. All I know is he needs to fly back to wherever he came from!! :)
That is a Stink Bug, show him to the door, if you crush them they give off an awful odor. You will probably see a lot more this year as they are out in force.
@girlie Thank you Robin, I've only seen these bugs a couple of times so never bothered to look up what it might be. I didn't want to get too close because THEY FLY! Last time I tried to get a picture of one I got up real close, just about ready to press the shutter and then he flew into my face and landed in my hair! I about dropped my camera on that try so I kept my distance this time.
@jobesekama Thanks Beth, so my son was right! He kept telling me it was a stink bug! They're really creepy looking...how charming that they give off an awful odor as well! :)
