Still playing catch up so no need to comment...this was taken last Monday (Feb 14th) while at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN looking out the wall of windows at the rooftop. My husband spotted him first and thought he looked like a Falcon but can't say for sure!
Unfortunately, after taking a picture of a pair of pigeons on the rooftop last Friday, we noticed as we were walking towards the elevator some Pigeon parts (legs) strewn about so I'm guessing this Falcon has been dining on those poor birds. After this guy flew away I noticed lots of feathers where he had been sitting on his ledge but dumb me, I figured he was shedding or something...NOT!! :(
He's beautiful. Ironically, one of these beauties flew inside the dry cleaner next door to us. Poor guy was scared to death. My Wife finally held open the door and he finally found his way to freedom.
