Another picture to fill in an empty space from last week so no need to comment. this was taken on Feb 16h near the Mayo Clinic. Not easy to capture this guy as we were in the truck, he was on the driver's side so I had to shoot past my husband out his window and dodge all the cars and buses going by, not to mention the street lights and parking meters. Out of several shots, this one was the only one even remotely useable. I would have NEVER dreamed of taking a picture of a complete stranger BUT after following Robin Warner ( http://365project.org/robinwarner/profile) and her fabulous street portraits, I had to try and capture this music man from Minnesota! :)
All of the above...haha. I love the story with it. I picture you, telling hubby, "scoot back,,, wait, drive slower...dang it, that cars in the way...." click click click. AWESOME job...and I agree Robin is very inspiring.
Wonderful capture, Paula, especially given the obstacles you describe. Street shots can be so intimidating. You probably didn't see my post from Saturday but I got totally busted by some security guards. It's hard to get back out there but the folks on this site are so encouraging that I will keep trying.
I would not have been able to even have taken a picture of this "music man" at all under the conditions you did! Fabulous work. I am too tired --hope you understand what I am trying to say.
Ah, music to my soul. I love it. There is something so magical about watching street performers... or those who just can't help themselves wherever they are. Nicely shot. This is a great piece of street photography.
