I put out my Hummingbird Feeders last Thursday and was surprised to see one show up the very next day. He showed up again this evening so I decided to try and get a picture of him since I didn't have anything else. I'm anxious to get more practice shooting these little guys, they're fascinating to watch and a real challenge to get a picture of without all the blur. I'm not sure but I think it's a Ruby-throated Hummingbird even though I'm not seeing much ruby on his throat.
Wow, great job, Paula. They are impossible to capture. . . you have done an incredible job. Love the colors. I'm pretty sure it's a ruby throated - that's the only species we have east of the Mississippi - not sure about you.
I have tired and tried again over the last few years..no results. will dig out my feeder and give it another try..we have lots of birds coming to our feeders!!!!
