Blue Damselfly

I assumed this was a dragonfly but after a quick Google search I think it's actually a Blue Damselfly. Not a great picture but my camera hasn't been out of the bag much lately!

Sorry, I had to delete this because I uploaded it to the wrong date....since I haven't taken many pictures lately I at least wanted to upload this one on the day it was taken. Sorry for those who commented before I deleted....I'm going to see if I can paste them on this!

This is so beautiful!! I photographed one of those last year, but yours looks so nice; the blue is so pretty in front of the green leaf. I also thought it was a dragonfly, btw.

I edited/cropped the frame out in Picnik.....you're right, better off without it! :)

an easy guide would suggest that Damselflies hold their wings back against the body and Dragonflies hold their wings out.

I agree with Kate, beautiful photo that doesn't require framing.
