I went back this morning to the site where I spotted all the Bald Eagles yesterday and found 2 had returned to finish off the deer carcass for breakfast. This one and the other one was either an immature Bald Eagle or a Golden Eagle perhaps. I tried to crop most of the graphic material out of this shot but unfortunately it depicts the harsher side of nature.
Thanks to all who commented on yesterdays photos, I really appreciate each and every one and there's no need to comment again on the eagles I post today...they're mostly for my own documentation purposes and hey, there's only so much you can say about bird pictures! :)
I haven't been able to spend much time here the last couple of days but hopefully II'll have a chance to catch up on some viewing and commenting shortly!
I didn't comment yesterday...so I will today. I think you cropped it just right. It lets you know what he is doing without being too graphic. We all have to eat right?? Gorgeous, gorgeous bird. !! I have only seen an Eagle once when I was very young....and have always wanted to see one again. Thanks for sharing yours.
@digitalrn @littlec @alecio @geertje @handerson2005 @ZG Thank you all so much for your kind words....I'm so glad you enjoyed all the Eagle shots. I got so excited when I saw these birds I could hardly contain myself. The best part was my grandson seemed to be really excited by the experience too...he even took pictures to school the next day to share with his classmates so all-in-all a couple of great photo days! :)
