A beautiful bank of hydrangeas at the Victoria and Albert Museum yesterday. I was tempted to upload a straight image, but as a pattern picture there was no obvious focal point, (and still no focal point in this version), so opted for a bit of altered reality.
!!!!! :-) phew !! I am completely befuddle, bemused, and muddled with this !! -- my eyes do not know what to with it ,and it gives me a love/hate feeling towards it . I just not know what to say -- I suppose if it was a piece of a child's work at school I would say "A good try !! ""( no offence meant Bob as I still can not help in going back to view it !! )
@beryl If art is supposed to evoke a reaction, at least I have succeeded on that level. As the author I'm still not sure what to make of it. The pastille colours are calming, but the move vivid colours cause conflict and as a pattern picture there is still no obvious breaker to act as a focal point. So is it pretty, is it calming, is it a jumble? I'm just not sure. I might enter it on one of my photographic clubs competitions, just to challenge the judge.
@bob65 -- It did certainly evoke a reaction and I was honest enough to voice it !!! Looking at it again I feel the blooms are a border , but the centre (leaves ) are weak in comparison ! After all it is not just a "pretty flower " image ,but an artistic twist or modern art -- and again it is not always easy to understand ! It will be interesting if you enter it in one of your photo club composition ! -- Always so good to have others point of view and opinions .
