I love Taj, not only coz' how it looks but also due to the underlying intricate history of love, power and conflict during Mughal rule in India. I grew up in a city very close to Agra and even though now I live thousands of miles away the history of Mughal period entices me like nothing else.

There is a series of books called Taj trilogy by Indu Sundaresan. I loved them coz' they were more of storytelling and not a history lesson.
