We have a family camp that we go to in the mountains every year, it sits on a cute little lake called Island Lake. We paid it a visit this fall and my husband and I decided to hike down to the lake. Just before heading out someone warned not to bother because the lake was drying up and looked ugly. Well to each their own! I was awestruck with beauty!! Stands out a bit better on black if you have time:)
The land has its cycles and you've captured this well. Many of our rivers and lakes are low as well as we've not had much rain this summer. Fall is also looking pretty dry- but there may be some rain in the next day or two. I think you did find beauty here and your picture shows it.
