Where the Streets Have No Name

Where is this Brad? It looks eerie, but if you look at it again, it's actually sad.

Wow! Talk about barreness.

This looks pretty foreboding...a hang out of yours? (:

lonely. appropriate title--intriguing shot!

it looks like a name is not the only thing missing on this street... quite an eerie shot, brad... really moody....

At first glance, I thought there was someone laying in the street... (eek!). Cool shot.

Very mysterious.
**And, yep. There was a kiddie highland games area. Even though everything was lighter, it was still a little dangerous with cardboard cabers flying everywhere. :)

It was an emergency, "I have to get to bed and I don't have a shot for today" shot. This is a shopping center down the street from my house. They're bead-blasting the plaster and have put up giant tarps and fencing. It's not as much urban decay as it is desolate, empty and lonely looking, but I'm going with it.

desolation comes to mind ...

Love the grainy -ness looks like a film still.

Very gritty and desolate looking... I haven't had a day yet where I reach late evening empty-handed, but it's bound to happen. I hope I'll find a mother-load of creativity after the sun has gone down!

Thought of you today as I saw a wonderful variety of instruments being played by an assortment of musicians at the bandstand. This is one of my favorite weekends up here. Let me know if you know who the musician is whom I photographed today...coming shortly... And Brad, thanks for your succinct note...really made me smile!

Well...goodness, I have to agree with Malena...I so thought that was a body, or a bum or something there at first, haha! You visit some interesting places young man! :)

Very sad looking. Reminds me that there are people who make empty streets like this their home.
Emotional photo.

So, Brad, you were lurking around in the dark with your camera? How would you have explained that to the cops?

Anyway, great shot. Like the graininess and the "peak around the corner" composition.

Great shot!
