I still have a sense of wonder when I get on a plane and go over and through the clouds. It's amazing to me that I'm really flying through the air and that I'm sharing space with the clouds in their playground.
Me too!! And despite how many times we hop on a plane I still get that 'wow I'm going somewhere' tickle too...course it wears off pretty quick once crammed into cattle class! Hope you're flying somewhere that tickles you too :)
Cool shot Brad! It is amazing that such a heavy chunk of metal filled with people can pull off the ground and soar like a bird. Have a great trip and I look forward to your photos this week!!
Brad - like you, I am still AMAZED how close we get to the clouds each and everytime I fly.... and am flying just about every month... Great Shot, btw...
love this shot, brad. great how you made something hard and mechanical (the plane) look so soft. adds to the sense of 'amazement' about the wonder of flying!
...and that you don't go crashing thousands of miles below? It is amazing, actually (okay, that's what I think when I'm flying). Really cool shot of this fragile-looking wing...oh, sorry, I meant strong-looking. Strong-looking wing. Have fun wherever you're going!
I also get a funny feeling when I fly...motion sickness :-/ I love the beauty of the sky and the wonder of flying, but cannot seem to enjoy the ride. This is a great shot!
Very cool shot and yes, it's so, hmm...what's the word...inspiring? Invigorating? Childlike?? Dunno, but once up in the clouds, it's like the wonderment of a child is inspired and invigorated in us!
Pretty exceptional, isn't it?! That's one experience I continue to marvel over, especially remembering there was an era when folks talked about "going out West" and it meant from the East coast to Ohio... Enjoy your trip and Safe Travels!
Wow, Brad. This is gorgeous. And I share your feelings. I don't fly very often, so maybe that is why it still amazes me to look down at the clouds, or to ride through them. Gives you a whole new perspective of things.
Have a great time!
That's a fancy band-aid on my kiddo's ankle...don't think we have a normal band-aid anywhere in the house!
