lovely day with Huey. went see Great Nana. he had a play in the field, Then we walked across the canal with sister and her granddaughter Nieve, fed these lovely geese. lots fresh air. he went straight to bed when we took him back.

Ooh what fatties they are! Big shiny fronts, look like they're stuffed with food! Great photo of them all coming towards you, could have frightened little Huey!
@happypat lucky the canal was between us and them...they all came purposely down into the water for the bread. they were lovely. when we got back from taking Huey home a lovely hedgehog on the lawn. !
@brennieb We never liked these geese descending on the fields, it's amazing how much grass they used to consume! We have loads flying around at this time of year, Canada geese.
we have a goose farm near us where the people drive just to see the geese. We have a flock of geese that like to sit atop my apt. building. not one of my favorite birds though.
