I've not yet refined the art… but i'm very drawn to still life and collections and interesting combinations. This was a tad random in terms of composition - but its and interesting idea for later
I prefer the other table cloth but with this shot you get to see more of the fan; I think you are right it is not there yet but a very interesting idea:0)

Oh I have had a thought! Not sure about execution but you may have fun playing; what about draping the table cloth over something (table/chair) and shining a light behind it to see what shadows or patterns it produces? Likewise a candle behind the fully open fan could add a nice effect? The other thing I do is shoot from every angle, it is time consuming I do not often do still life for this reason. I will pop back if I think of anymore ideas:0)
